Washington Depot, CT: Level II is for those who want to learn more about partnering
and Pilobolus movement, and for dancers who want to increase their movement
vocabulary. Acrobats, circus artists, dancers,
actors and others who express themselves through movement with other people,
and even those who want a new and fun way to play with others will find this to
be a useful workshop. This
workshop expands upon the basics of the Pilobolus movement style of
improvising, partnering and performing. Pilobolus repertoire will be taught as examples of
fundamental weight sharing techniques and styles. These exercises are used to
learn skills, which will be applied to creating your own Pilobolus style
movement. The Technique Intensive requires
some degree of strength and stamina. You will be engaging your muscles and your
brain constantly. Tuition:
$550.00 does not include transportation, room or board. A deposit of $100 is
required to reserve a place. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants,
please register early. Recommendations for places to stay in the area are
available.
Your application must be
accompanied by your resume and headshot. The
workshop runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. On the Wednesday evening of the
week the group will go to the Joyce Theater in NYC to see a performance of
